With its high-grade, fade and scratch resistant fabric, the American tonneau cover offers protection, and security at a price you can afford.  It also allows you complete access to your truck bed as well as haul larger cargo as you can fold the tonneau cover all the way to your truck cab.  But one other thing that draws more customers to this tonneau cover is the fact that it is so easy to install on your truck bed.  Since it’s made with lightweight aluminum frames, you won’t be needing an extra hand to install the tonneau cover.  It also does not require any tools to keep it secure.

 

American tonneau covers can be installed right out of the box as it is already pre-assembled.  So you can forget about long hours of having to go through complicated assembly instructions just to put it together before finally installing it on your truck bed.  All you have to do is mount it right at the back of your truck cab, then undo the clips to fold it all the way to the tailgate.  To secure, fold back the tonneau cover, then draw the clamps down and slide it over to the bed rails.  Turn the clamp to tighten, then push down to securely fasten it on the bed cap.

 

Once you have secured the front end of the tonneau cover, fold it all the way to the tailgate.  Drop down the clamps underneath the back end of the tonneau cover, then slide it over the rails or bed caps.  To secure the clamps, just twist the clamp handle (in the same way as that of the front clamps)and pull down the clamp handle to keep it in place.  In just a few minutes, your tonneau cover is already installed.  And there’s no way anyone can access your truck bed as they need to open the tailgate to unfasten the clamps and get full access to your cargo.

 

The American folding tonneau covers also come with easy to install tailgate seals which keep moisture and dirt out.  And the best part about these tailgate seals is that you do not need to put any adhesive which could damage your truck bed’s paint.  To install, you need first to clean the inner sides of the tailgate with denatured alcohol or with alcohol wipes.  Remove the adhesive strips then affix the tailgate seals starting from the top, then press firmly to ensure a tight fit.  Work it all the way to the bottom of the tailgate.  Do the same with the other tailgate seal on the other side of the tailgate.
